Mark Bertrang
 |
Beyond the skills of a financial advisor, Mark Bertrang is a professional communicator. He listens...and then he speaks. Understanding a client takes more than just a spreadsheet of numbers. Gauging a person's values, their passions and fears is often as important, if not more important, then the allocation of their investment portfolio or an asset and liability statement.
As the creator of the Financialoscopy® and The Personal Financial Advantage®, Mark possesses an ability to simplify complicated concepts to help clients understand the various ways to move toward their financial objectives.
Mark received his ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) and CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) professional designations through The American College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
As a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals since 1992, Mark also acts as the secretary/treasurer of the La Crosse, Wisconsin chapter. In addition, Mark has served as a past president of the Mutual Trust General Agent's Association, in Oak Brook, Illinois. |
As a broker, Mark has passed the General Securities Principal Examination (Series 24), the General Securities Representative Examination (Series 7), as well as the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination (Series 6), in addition to the State Securities Law Examinations (Series 63 and Series 66).
Clients are sometimes surprised to learn that Mark holds a property/casualty insurance license, in addition to a health and life insurance license even though he doesn't offer automobile, homeowners or medical health insurance through his office. He believes it's important to be licensed and up-to-date on continuing education requirements, so he can provide answers to his client's many diverse financial questions.
For those areas outside his expertise, Mark has nurtured a circle of qualified experts to assist him in the implementation of his clients' financial plans. This group of advisors includes attorneys, trust officers, CPAs, mortgage brokers, realtors and bankers.
As an entrepreneur, Mark participated quarterly for seven years in the exclusive Strategic Coach Program® in Chicago, Illinois.
Mark and his wife Betty have been married for thirty years and have lived in the same home since 1991. They have two grown children.
In his free time, Mark enjoys escaping to northern Wisconsin and spending time relaxing along the Flambeau River.

Patty Stetzer
The first person you will probably meet at Bertrang Financial will probably be our office manager – Patty Stetzer. Her number one job is "problem solver". Since we work with many clients at once, Patty keeps track of where each client is, in the Financialoscopy® process.
Collecting, organizing and documenting information is the first step in understanding our clients. Patty helps to simplify the chaos we may see when first beginning to work with a new client.
Before coming to Bertrang Financial, Patty worked for a title insurance company as a loan closing agent, a media buyer/planner for an advertising agency and she has also worked as a product development coordinator and customer service supervisor for a national footwear and apparel company.
Many mornings, Patty begins her day with a two–to–three mile run before coming into the office. Patty enjoys the outdoors, biking, camping, hiking and cross country skiing. She's also a quilter, enjoys gardening and reading and is also very active in her church.
Patty was instrumental in moving Bertrang Financial to a paperless environment by researching and creating the procedures to be implemented for electronic client files. In addition, she also organizes the financial records for Bertrang Properties, LLC and its affiliated property investments.
